Klappentext zu „The Local Cardiac Renin-Angiotensin Aldosterone System “
Until recently, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system has been considered a systemic endocrine hormonal system exclusively. It is now known that each component of the renin-angiotensin system is produced, synthesized and indeed, present in many organisms including the heart and vessels. This volume presents the most recent clinical and laboratory experiences of the leading physicians and investigators in the field of the local cardiac renin-angiotensin aldosterone system.Cardiovascular, renal and hypertension oriented physicians, investigators and scientists would find this book of interest.

Rezension zu „The Local Cardiac Renin-Angiotensin Aldosterone System “
From the reviews of the second edition:"This book disseminates new findings about the local renin-angiotensin aldosterone system (RAAS) in the cardiovascular system and the kidneys ... . This is a great resource for anyone doing research into any cell or tissue that is regulated or potentially regulated by RAAS. ... Students beginning careers in research in this field will find this to be a great account of current research ... . As a gastrointestinal physiologist with a long-time interest in hormonal regulation of cell function, I found this book intriguing." (David L. Osborne, Doody's Review Service, June, 2010)
