Klappentext zu „Simple Acts of Kindness “
Transform your life with the positive power of kindness! We can all agree that the world could always do with more kindness. But this doesn't have to mean grand gestures or expensive gifts - often it's the small, everyday interactions that matter the most.Over 52 weeks, this undated journal guides you through the process of recognising the moments of kindness in your life, and helps you to spread that kindness to every person you meet. Combining the mindfulness of a gratitude journal with the practicality of a workbook, the role of kindness in modern life is fully explored with thought-provoking insights and exercises guiding you every step of the way. With a focus on the small things that brighten up your life, the power of spreading kindness, and keeping it in the forefront of your mind as you go about your days is laid out in attractive spreads with plenty of exercises to help you make being kind a defining feature of your personality.Spread throughout the journal are suggestions for over 100 simple acts of kindness that you can perform, and 30 pages exploring the role of kindness in modern life from author Jacqueline Snowden. Particular focus is given to the importance of showing kindness to yourself and how that is the starting point from which kindness can flow, and on how it is possible - necessary, sometimes - to specifically choose to be kind. The lessons and exercises, tips and tricks are all reasonable and accessible, and help the reader explore ideas such as paying it forward and developing empathy. The tone is inspiring and encouraging, making prioritizing kindness seem like the easiest thing in a sometimes very unkind world! Thanks to the undated format, the journal can be started at any point in the year, meaning readers can turn to it whenever they feel the need to really build the kindness habit into their everyday life. The Simple Acts of Kindness Journal is the perfect companion to living a life filled with kindness and joy, for everybody who wants to

Lese-Probe zu „Simple Acts of Kindness “
A Note from the Editor Let's face it, it's not always easy to be kind. With the constant bombardment of 24-hour news and social media, the world can seem like a cruel and unforgiving place sometimes. It's easy to resign yourself to thinking, 'What difference will it make?' But in dark times, kindness matters more than ever. Our actions may seem inconsequential in the context of global affairs, but every act of kindness makes a difference. Good deeds and kind words often ripple outwards like a chain reaction of positivity through the lives of those affected - when you perform an act of kindness, you can never tell how far-reaching its impact will be. And if hundreds, thousands or millions of us actively make the effort to be kinder, well... the results can be world changing! It can be particularly challenging to be kind if people treat us unkindly, since many of us will instinctively respond in the same way. But if we all treat those who are rude to us with unkindness, that cycle of negativity never ends; 'An eye for an eye and the world goes blind', as the saying goes. In these circumstances, kindness is more like a skill. It takes practice to face rudeness with empathy, or to leave an infuriating situation calmly, but knowing that you have the ability to break a cycle of rudeness can be a powerful feeling.Too many of us take kindness for granted, but it has an impact on almost every part of our lives, from our relationships and careers, to the local community and beyond. Kindness can also have a profound effect on our mental health and - perhaps surprisingly - our physical wellbeing too. The best thing about kindness is that we can't run out of it; there are always opportunities for us to be more compassionate, considerate and generous in our day-to-day lives. The fact that you have picked up this journal shows that you recognise this and are ready to bring more kindness into your life.We hope this journal inspires you to become more conscious of kindness - whether
