Klappentext zu „Part 3: Non-ferrous Alloys - Heavy Metals “
The volume contains metal forming data of 44 non-ferrous alloys of heavy metals, i.e. Cu, Ni, Zn, Pb, Nb, U, W, Sn, Zr, and noble metals. The mechanical and thermophysical properties of each alloy are given as well as its plasticity and flow curves. Each material is characterized by its composition and international notation. An introduction presents the fundamental terms and concepts of metal forming.
Autoren-Porträt von Thilo Spittel, Marlene Spittel
Subvolume 2C of Group VIII deals with the forming data of metals. The content is subdivided into three parts with the present part 3 covering non-ferrous heavy metal alloys, i.e. about 90 material systems, in a compact, database-oriented form. The knowledge of the deformation behaviour of materials is of vital importance in scientific research and in technical applications. The increasing use of numerical simulation in research and practice describes the real processes the better the more precise the response of the material, the processes at the interface between the material and the tools or technical facilities are characterized. This behaviour is affected by process and material related parameters and is represented by physical and mechanical properties, plasticity curves and flow curves in the different states of the respective material. In this volume these properties are given for every single alloy along with its detailed composition and, where given, useful international standard notation. An extensive introduction presents the fundamental terms and concepts of forming with special attention to numerical simulation process related properties. The variety of heavy metal alloys discussed emphasizes the relevance of the book as a compendium for scientists, researchers and engineers in metallurgical plants.
