Various conferences and summer schools have been held in recent years, putting special focus on the historical book techniques in conservation, terminology and conservation theory. Nevertheless, there is still a great demand for more information. The authors hope to assist conservator-restorers with their contributions in one or the other way, bringing more attention to the value and beauty of historic and historical books and foster the research activities in the field of book conservation.
