Knut Holtsträter, Dr. phil., Musikwissenschaftler, Theaterwissenschaftler, von 2002 bis 2006 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Musikwissenschaft Weimar-Jena, von 2007 bis 2015 Akademischer Rat auf Zeit am Forschungsinstitut für Musiktheater der Universität Bayreuth und Assistent des Lehrstuhls "Theaterwissenschaft unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Musiktheaters", von 2014 bis 2015 Vertretung der Professur Musikwissenschaft an der Universität Bayreuth. Seit Mai 2015 Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Zentrum für Populäre Kultur und Musik (Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg). Schwerpunkte: Musiktheater und Musik im 19. und 20. Jahrhundert, Populäre Musik, Musik und ihre Aufführung in Film, Fernsehen, Radio und auf Schallträgern.
